Liverpool 2024-25 Home Shirt by Nike

Nike has unveiled Liverpool's 24/25 home shirt, drawing inspiration from the pinstripe styles of the early 80s while infusing it with a modern twist. This release marks the final collaboration between Nike and the club before Adidas takes over from the 25/26 season onwards.

Liverpool, known for being among the first to reveal their kits for the upcoming season, once again takes the lead in unveiling their 24/25 home shirt. However, this time there's a nostalgic touch, as the design pays homage to retro aesthetics with a pinstripe pattern. Upon closer inspection, the shirt reveals a subtle chrome yellow motif intricately woven into the fabric, showcasing the club's iconic YNWA motto.

 

Continuing the retro vibe, the shirt features a distinctive collar adorned with classic yellow and red accents. This design pays homage to the legendary collar sported by the 1984 team under Joe Fagan's leadership, who famously secured the European Cup in Rome wearing a similar kit, thereby achieving a historic treble. Additionally, both the shirt and shorts are adorned with side panels in yellow and white.

Men’s captain Virgil van Dijk said: “I’m a big fan of our new kit for next season and love the fact we’re bringing the retro vibe back. We are a club built on history and the 1984 team was one of our most successful ever. I’m sure our fans will appreciate the nod to those club legends.”

LFC Women vice-captain Taylor Hinds said: “It’s such a different look for the new season, and we can’t wait to wear it. The retro inspiration always makes you feel a part of the club’s history is with you as you play.”
